Royal Challenge Solitaire Review

If you are looking for a relaxing and beautiful solitaire game, Royal Challenge Solitaire may be the card game for you. With no story line, you can immerse yourself in this addictive and fun game for the afternoon.

The backdrop of this game is gorgeously drawn with many items from different countries represented in each scene. I don’t know how royal these items are but they are nice to look at. Some may have letter writing, pearl necklace, biscuits and more in pastel like colors. Another scene I found interesting is the Japanese one where they put a bowl of white rice with chopsticks, kokeshi (Japanese wooden doll), hand fans, good luck charms, yen, old fashion photo, and manju (confection) in darker and redder colors.

There are 2 modes of play in Royal Challenge Solitaire: Challenge and Random. Random will present levels in random order and Challenge will increase the difficulty as you play. With 100 levels, you may be in for a big Challenge, but the play is very relaxing and enjoyable.

The solitaire game is simple. You need to clear the game board by clicking on a card either higher or lower to the one on deck like a mahjong type of play. If you find yourself not able to make a move, you can click on the deck that is faced down to open another card. You must clear the board before you run out of cards. Quick and successful moves will get you bonuses and accolades in the Hall of Fame.

So if you are looking for a relaxing play with good music and elegant looking backgrounds, Royal Challenge Solitaire will meet your requirements in an addictive and fun game. I give it a 3 for its beautiful artwork and soothing music with a lot of levels to conquer.
